About CreateWorld 2007
The AUC in conjunction with Apple Computer Australia, will be holding CreateWorld 2007, a 3 day presentation and technical development event, specifically for Academic and Higher-Education Technical staff in the digital arts disciplines.
CreateWorld 2007 will be held on 25–28 November 2007 at Griffith University’s Brisbane South Bank Campus, across the facilities of the Queensland College of Art, the Queensland Conservatorium, the Griffith Graduate Centre and the Shipp Inn. The conference will feature a wide range of academic and technical presenters from the University and industry sectors as well as hands-on technical workshops.
Who should attend?
CreateWorld 2007 is aimed specifically at academics, research teams and technical staff across the digital arts. Sesssions include presentations of new media work, techniques and approaches in practice-led research fields including photography, cyber-arts, music, e-learning, film, animation and design.
Events and Resources
CreateWorld 2007 will provide delegates with:
- Keynote presentations by Australian leaders and practitioners from across the Humanities, Arts, and Digital Industries.
- Key events will be webcast. Live Blogs, Wikis, podcasts and CreateWorld site will form the building blocks for ongoing communication. Subsequent dissemination of the work seeks to develop an innovative and rigorous framework which will respond to issues surrounding the measurement of quality and impact of research in the digital arts.
- A conference dinner and ample opportunity to network with colleagues during breaks.
- Internet wireless access will be available for conference delegates across campus.

AUC Subsidy
The AUC will be offering a subsidy to 4 attendees per member University covering return economy airfares to Brisbane, twin-share accommodation for three nights (four nights for WA, NT & SA attendee's) as well as a discount on the registration fee. More information on subsidy levels

Registration
Conference registration is limited to 4 subisdised delegates per AUC Member University due to space and catering requirements. Your local AUC Representative will allocate the available spaces and provide details on how to register for the conference.
