Developers

The Apple University Development Fund (AUDF) is an initiative of the Apple University Consortium (AUC) and Apple Computer Australia. It was established in the early years of the AUC to support developers in the Higher-Education community that were interested in creating applications on the Macintosh platform. These have included many commercially available programs and in some cases led to the establishment of outstanding centres of creative educational content and delivery methods. The programs have evolved throughout the years and were changed in 1999 when the AUDF Grants were split into three areas targeting both advanced and beginner development areas. More recently the WWDC Scholarship program was widened to include student attendee's for the first time in May 2000. The result was over 95 AUC representatives of all ages and disciplines attending WWDC for the first time. The AUDF demonstrates Apple's and the AUC's commitment to support University projects that create software, hardware and other development resources of value to the Apple University Consortium, and the broader educational community.

The AUDF Today

The AUDF today is split into two major funding activities:

• Innovation Grants
• WWDC Scholarships

Both these activites are targetted at developers within AUC Universities. Staff and students are invited to apply for both programs based on the relevaent selection crieteria.

AUDF Meetings & Minutes

The AUDF holds two meetings per year in February and August. The meetings are generally only one day to minimise the disruption to the academic year. One AUDF representative from each AUC member University is entitled to attend the meeting. Minutes from the AUDF Meetings are available in Adobe Acrobat format.
