/dev/world/ is our conference for students and staff of AUC member Universities who have an interest in developing for Apple computers and Apple mobile devices.
The conference sessions cover a wide range of topics including the iOS SDK, Mac OS X frameworks, and the Xcode toolchain. The conference also gives developers plenty of opportunities to meet and network with other AUC members, and learn about projects they are working on.
|Please note that while this conference is for AUC member university staff and students, we will accept a limited number of registrations from the general public|
/dev/world/ is aimed specifically at students and staff in AUC member Universities who are developing software, teaching software development or have a personal interest. In order to get the most from the event it is recommended participants have experience in at least one programming language (such as Python, Objective C, or C++) and are familiar with programming concepts such as Object Oriented Programming (OOP). Some experience using Mac OS X and developer tools will be an advantage but is not essential.
/dev/world/2012 will be held at the Rydges Bell City, Melbourne, from 24 – 26 September 2012.
Each University can send up to 4 subsidised students or staff. It is up the local AUCDF coordinator to allocate places to this program using local selection criteria.
Use the navigation menu on the upper right of this page to find out more about the event, including costs, accommodation suggestions, and how to register. Registration closes on 17 September 2012 or earlier if full.
|Delegates are strongly encouraged to bring along a Macintosh laptop with Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and the latest version of Xcode installed. A limited number of loan laptops will be available.|
