Each AUC member University is allocated four subsidised places at /dev/world/2012. The subsidy consists of a low registration fee as well as financial assistance towards return economy airfares and accommodation. All figures are in AUD and include GST.
AUC Subsidised Registration

Airfare Subsidy
For those AUC delegates the AUC is offering to subsidise return economy airfares up to a maximum amount as detailed below. The limits listed below can claimed against the base airfare and mandatory taxes – optional extras such as extra baggage allowance, travel insurance, seat upgrades and other incidentals are not claimable. We encourage you to use discount airfares such as VirginBlue and Jetstar. Please remember – this is a subisdy only and is not intended to cover the full cost of your flights.

Accommodation Subsidy
The AUC is offering to subsidise accommodation costs for interstate subsidised delegates as follows:

The above rates are based on $100 per night (room + taxes only) for those delegates that require one nights accommodation and two nights accommodation for Western Australia, Northern Territory, Far North Queensland & New Zealand delegates. Victorian based delegates do not receive any subsidy. Please remember – this is a subsidy only and is not intended to cover the full cost of your accommodation.
Making a Claim
Claims for travel and accommodation subsidises must be sent within 3 months of /dev/world/ to the AUC, the last date for claims being 17 December 2012. Claims will not be accepted until after /dev/world/ to confirm attendance.
Please download the AUC Claim form, complete and attach copies of Tax Invoices and Receipts. Payment in AUD will be made within the following 3 weeks subject to correct completion of the form. Incomplete or unsubstantiated claims will be delayed until rectified.
When submitting your claim, please note:
- The registration fee is NOT claimable. The AUC has already subsidised your registration cost and no further subsidy is available.
- The airfare and accomodation subsidies are separate subsidies and cannot be combined.
- Transfers, taxis and other incidentals are not claimable.
- All claims must be substantiated with Tax invoices.
- You may only claim actual expenditure, up to the limits specified.
