AUC Subsidised Registration
Each AUC member university is allocated five subsidised places at X World 2012. The subsidy consists of a reduced registration fee as well as financial assistance towards the cost of return economy airfares and accommodation. All figures are in AUD and include GST.

AUC Standard Registration
Staff from AUC member institutions may send additional places over the standard 5 per member. Such registrations include a small discount on the registration fee, but do not attract airfare or accommodation subsidies.

- Airfare and accommodation are NOT subsidised.
Non-AUC Member Registration
We accept a limited number of registrations from people outside the AUC sector. Such registrations will be charged the full registration fee, and do not attract airfare or accommodation subsidies.

Airfare Subsidy
Subsidised registrations include a subsidy to assist with airfares up to a maximum amount as detailed below. The limits listed below can claimed against the base airfare and mandatory taxes – optional extras such as extra baggage allowance, travel insurance, seat upgrades and other incidentals are not claimable. We encourage you to use discount airlines such as VirginBlue and Jetstar. Please remember – this is a subisdy only and is not intended to cover the full cost of your flights.

Accommodation Subsidy
Subsidised registrations include a subsidy to assist with accommodation costs as follows:

These rates are based on an estimated cost of $100 per night (room + taxes only). Delegates from WA, NT, far north Queensland and New Zealand may claim up to three nights at this rate. Other delegates may claim up to two nights at this rate. Please remember – this is a subsidy only and is not intended to cover the full cost of your accommodation.
Making a Claim
Claims for travel and accommodation subsidises must be received by the AUC within 3 months of X World, the last date for X World claims being 6 October 2012. Claims will not be accepted until after X World to confirm attendance.
Please download the AUC Claim form, complete and attach copies of Tax Invoices and Receipts. Payment in AUD will be made within the following 3 weeks subject to correct completion of the form. Incomplete or unsubstantiated claims will be delayed until rectified
When submitting your claim, please note:
- The registration fee is NOT claimable.
- The airfare and accommodation subsidies are separate subsidies and cannot be combined.
- Transfers, taxis and other incidentals are not claimable.
- All claims must be substantiated with Tax invoices.
- You may only claim actual expenditure, up to the limits specified above.
